A slender Damascus blade, made from 1095 and 1040 steels..
This is flat ground with a micro bevel on the edge, etched in ferric acid to show the patterning
3.5mm on the spine
A couple of hand forged blades.
Both hand forged useing the old hammer and fire, made from 1095 carbon steel, left the forge scale on, pickled it then buffed it up a little, I like the effect and if the side of the blade gets scratched or dinged it does not show.
Made some blades for the first time using CRV2 tool steel, they are 224mm long, 104mm blade, 23mm wide and 3mm thick at widest piont. As you can see I kind of messed up the makers mark on them.
Forged from a truck leaf spring.
total length 290mm
52mm wide at widest point
6mm on the spine
Forge scale left on and has been hot waxed
Should make short work on kindeling and other bushcraft tasks
